2021 Advancements inside the Program
What have we been able to accomplish in 2021? A LOT!
We asked a new Information Technology / Software Engineering firm to assist us on developments we had been stalled on during 2020. They were quite helpful and talented in addressing some key issues and performing some re-building and re-modeling to the GF Pro Vision platform. By building the capacity with this new firm, we have been also preparing for a future with more advanced features and applications that stem from the 2021 work-load that they performed. Knowledge from Data. Mission #1
GF Pro™ Vision was developed from its inception in the center of USA Pork Production - the Iowa / Southern Minnesota "hog belt".
❶ As a program Its greatest attribute is its perspective. The program has been designed by pork producers for pork producers.
❷It is a cost effective and comprehensive records management software program which allows producers to make year over year performance improvement - objectively.
The current version has been modified and enhanced to give producers and their advisors insight into performance with direct and rapid access to the compiled information from historical and current groups, feed records, marketing records and health information. The program is a tool focused to assist in maximizing the profitability of your operation.
❸ GF Pro™ Vision will allow your ‘Next Generation’ middle managers and future leaders to focus on cost of production and throughput - two main drivers of the pork production operation. It brings simplicity, efficiency and practical business management information together as a comprehensive tool for pork production management.
❹ The program's initial major advantage continues - direct data import for the largest cost and data management issue - feed cost. The program is built around feed data import from various software programs common as mill management software in the USA.
It also imports data from market hog sales from leading packers in USA and Canada. Including: Smithfield, JBS Swift, Tyson, Hormel, HyLife Foods (Canada), Wholestone Farms (formerly Hormel, Nebraska), and SiouxPreme.
❺ Unique reporting developed for pork producers and their financial advisors is still essential in our business environment.
There are a tremendous number of independent pork producers, who strive for and thrive on excellent finishing results. GF Pro™ Vision allows independent producers to access the same level of data for pork production. management in all phases as large producers have access to. Let's keep helping independent hard working families survive by excellent data management and knowledge extraction from the data.
During 2021 InSight and our IT Team accomplished some important milestones, including:
1. Addressing some changes to the Mortality vs. Benchmark Report. These changes will be finalized in the next 2-3 weeks and released in December 2021.
2. Improving the Feed Data Import for specific mill software not previously used for client data transfer.
3. Updating some customer requested "target carcass weight ranges" for an important Canadian customer using Hy-Life as their primary "buyer".
4. Preparing for data entry from slaughter plants not previously supported. As new plants come on-board and are important to our growing customer bases, we will continue to add the capacity for rapid data exchange.
5. Updates and separation of the websites for USA and Canada clients. We are preparing for 2022 -2025 growth making sure our platform in the cloud can handle additional traffic and has the capability for new customer inquires.

5. Preparing for the addition of 3-4 new versions in Languages specific for our client needs.
What do we have planned for 2022 and beyond.....
Bob Baarsch gave me one piece of advice as it relates to software updated and customers --- Always Under-promise and Over-Deliver!
We do intend to add some features, but our first three steps are:
1. Complete an update of the user manual
2. Insure all of our clients can utilize their data to participate in AgView, if they voluntarily elect to do so and that their data stored in GF Pro Vision is properly aligned with the needs of this advanced contract tracing program. https://www.agview.com/
3. Provide a year end summary focusing on the benchmarking data that is an inherent benefit to all the producers that utilize our database for their post-weaning records.
